leah's first birthday

I can’t believe Leah is already a year old. To celebrate Leah’s special day I took the Tacher’s out to the Outback for dinner. Leah of course had a blast and all of us ate too much….it was wonderful. I love Leah and I am so lucky that I live so close to her and get to be a part of her life.

lost in seattle/sunny day in the city

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Seattle-mid 80’s and gorgeous! Connor was gone with his Mom all day so I only had one little guy. Nolan and I drove to Seattle to hang out with Natalie, Leah and Natalie’s little buddy Mac for the morning. I ran into a little problem when I got lost, probably the most lost I have ever been in Seattle. Luckily it was a sunny morning and we had a great drive around the city, Nolan was a trooper. Natalie, the kids and I walked around Gas Work Park and walked up to Freemont. I love Seattle sunny days- I even got my first sunburn/tan of the summer. P.S. Everyone should come visit me this summer!!!

look who else came to seattle...

Jared Calvin White!!! I met Jared at the Seattle Temple last Saturday for a session. It was so good to be reunited with my buddy Jared. J-bizz (as I like to call him) graduated from BYU just a couple of weeks ago and moved back to Washington. He now only lives a couple of hours away so hopefully I will be seeing a lot more of him in the weeks and months to come. How lucky am I that in the past couple weeks I have been able to see some of my best friends in the whole world right here in my home? And this next weekend I am going to Idaho to see the Farmers and Lindsay Jane is coming up from Provo to be with me! Doesn't get much better than this.

jeremiah john

The day Michelle left Seattle Jeremiah came to town. He was here on business, but we got to play a lot too. We ate seafood, visited my family, met the party and saw lots of planes!!! Jeremiah loves planes these days....I had to work one of the days he was here so I took him and the boys to the airplane museum (The Museum of Flight). All of the boys had a blast and I even enjoyed it. Later that same day we drove around Lake Washington and found yet more planes, this time sea planes. I am so lucky that Jeremiah John came to see me. It was such a wonderful week. I love him and miss him, it was great to have him back in my every day life if only for one week.

happy mail

So, I have a habit of looking at stranger's blogs and I really enjoy it. I will click on the links to my friend's friend's blogs. Sometimes I comment, sometimes I find people I know and can get caught up in their lives, and sometimes I save their blogs in my favorites (I like them that much). I think I like to read stranger's blogs for the same reasons why I like reality TV. I like other people and I am fascinated by their lives. Recently I was reading a friends blog, I read the comments section and checked out blogs of the people that made a comment. While reading a particular stranger's blog I learned that she is in a group that exchanges mail each month, it is appropriately called "happy mail." They have rules, a theme and provide the information on the exchange. This month I put together a "yellow/C" package for a girl names Jodi and got this darling Chipboard yellow "A" back. Isn't that a fun idea?
