homemade ice cream

I bought an ice cream maker at Target a couple of weeks ago, I am in love with it. It was only $25, everyone should go out and get one today. It was very easy to use and made a good amount (we followed a recipe for Vanilla Ice Cream in the little recipe book that came with it). Obviously, it takes a long time from start to finish, but it is well the wait. Yummy, I am still thinking about it. I think I need to test out another flavor real soon, does anyone have any favorite homemade ice cream recipes?

James checking the ice cream to see if it's ready...

it's ready!

Look at it...

perfection!

Leah's lovin' it

Ok, I am totally in the middle of comparison shopping homemade ice cream machines. What brand do you have and why do you love it? (Well, other than the fact that it produces ice cream!)
Looks like fun.

Hi Alicia,

Long time blog stalker. :P

We finally started using the one we got for our wedding, and we're seriously hooked. We usually make vanilla and put some cookies in it. We've done it with oreos, peanut butter & chocolate cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. They were awesome! The chocolate chip cookie variety was our favorite.

Dang it! Now I want some!

we always make a DELISH plain vanilla recipe. im telling you the plain ones are best, and then you can eat them with a variety of toppings.
for toppings we always have crushed butterfinger (always a favorite) oreos, or yummy strawberries.

seriously. i will get you the recipe.

Ok,
Homemade ice-cream is so good, it's worth blogging about, but I have to take a moment to point out that you are fun to live life with. Whether it's eating ice-cream, making the ice-cream, getting the ice-cream maker, or laughing at your dad's brain-freeze--Eating the Ice cream is great, but the journey is not lost on you. Wy to live well, Alicia.

Farrar, I'm so glad I got to talk w/you today! You look very happy in your posts & I'm so MALIPAY for you! I hope to be able to update our blog soon . . . Rebekah kinda takes up a lot of my time, but I love every moment with her! Take care & keep in touch. My ice cream flavor vote is for Strawberry & Cookies & Cream mixed together (they've been my 2 favorites & I wish I could have them together all the time!). Love ya!

Heidi- I will try to find the brand name, it is just a cheap one from Target (Rival, I think). It is not fancy, but it is easy to use and cheap and makes delcious ice cream. As you can tell by the picture it fits in the kitchen sink so there is almost no mess and it is not very loud. That is why I like it.

Debra- Yum! We will try some yummy mix-ins.

K.K.- I want the recipe, email it to me.

Livers- Pass me T-Poo's email address on to me and i will send him a nudge.

James- I like you and I like living life with you. We have so much fun!!!

Aquino- Naghigugma ako kanimo.

Nakita- Thanks! When are you guys coming up to Washington? I'll make you some ice cream!
